In Prep/1A we have been learning about 3D shapes. 

The children have been learning the names of common 3D shapes such as cylinder, cone, sphere, cube and rectangular prism or cuboid.  

The children have learned that 3D shapes have sides, corners, and faces, curved surfaces and that a cone has a point.  

To make learning about 3D shapes fun and memorable, the children made and decorated a cylinder, a cone party hat and used yarn to make a sphere.
