Book Week
In 1/2E Parker/Petraitis we have recently enjoyed reading some of the new books purchased by our school for Book Week. Book week is a great opportunity to engage with and enjoy books together.
One of our favourite books this year was 'Bev and Kev'. It is a story about a giraffe and a bird who become the best of friends, despite their size differences! We enjoyed creating a puzzle of Bev and Kev and have it proudly displayed on one of our Break-Out room doors. We worked with a partner to colour in just one part of the picture.

HASS Unit
Students have begun a unit of work called ‘Where in the World are we?”. We have begun learning about the 7 continents in the world. Did you know that Australia is both a continent and an island (the largest island in the world)?
We have a range of books, Atlases, puzzles, and a world globe on a table for us to look at, explore and wonder about lots of different places in the world.
