Welcome to Austins Ferry Primary School

Austins Ferry Primary School is a state of the art learning institute built in 2011, designed with the latest research informing learning environments. Situated on Hobart's western shore, a short 15 minute drive to the city and 5 minutes to Hobart’s famous MONA museum. The school property boasts large play areas a brand new early learning center, completed in 2018 and fantastic facilities.

We aim to offer high quality learning opportunities for all our students. Our staff are focused on students reaching their full learning potentials, our teachers bring their passion for learning into the classroom and develop caring relationships which support and inspire students to achieve.

Our school is recognized statewide as a leader in trauma informed practice and use these guidelines to support all students throughout the school. Staff are continually striving to use best practice research to inform teaching and learning across the school.
